John "Johnny" J. Weaver III

Johnny began his real estate career in Bennettsville, SC in 1980 with the opening of Weaver Realty then CENTURY 21 Weaver Realty. In 1985, Johnny moved to Pawleys Island to become Broker in Charge and sales manager of CENTURY 21 Marshall & Grimes.

J J Weaver & Co Inc was formed in 1994 and included home building and property management as well as development and sales. Johnny developed Egret Run condominiums in 1995 and Harborwalk Villas in downtown Georgetown.

Community involvement has always been part of Johnny’s life. In Bennettsville, he was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, member and Captain of the Marlboro County Rescue Squad, CPR and EMT instructor, city councilman and Mayor of Bennettsville.

Since moving to Pawleys Island, Johnny is a member and elder of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, member and past president of Pawleys Island Rotary, past president of the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors, founding member of the Harbor Historical Association and the SC Maritime Museum, serves as dockmaster for the Wooden Boat Show, past chairman of the Georgetown County Zoning Board of Appeals and current member of the Georgetown County Planning Commission.

Johnny has been an active full time real estate professional in the Pawleys Island area since 1985. Listings and sales include residential, investment, commercial, land and development property.

Johnny is married to Janette Jennings Weaver also from Bennettsville. He has a daughter, Jan O’Tuel and her husband Ellis O’Tuel and their twin sons, Michael and Jacob and a son, Jay Weaver, all of Pawleys Island.
